We
classify Development services in several sub categories;
Mainframe, Client-Server, and Web-based applications.
However, there are several levels of staff member in each
sub category.
Mainframe
:
Product
Specialists
Architects
Project Lead/Manager
Lead Business Analyst/Analyst
Senior Programmer/Analyst
Programmer/Analyst
Programmer
Present day there is not much
'new' development in mainframe communities, however there is
a great deal of activity in packaged product implementation
such as PeopleSoft, SAP and alike. ICS provides
Product Specialists that act as Lead Technical or Lead
Analyst to assist in the overall project success.
Likewise, several spin-off or support projects require
typical Mainframe skills to complete interface, migration
and conversion efforts. The talent level for many of
these opportunities requires several years with the product,
additional training, and a comprehensive skill pool to be
effective.
ICS also provides Mainframe
talent to provide maintenance to legacy systems either in
support of new development/product implementation or in
day-to-day support.
Client-Server
:
Development Specialists
Senior Business Analysts
Technical Lead
Senior Programmer/Analysts
Programmers
Client-Server applications
continue to roll out and we feel this trend will continue
into the future. With the advent of new products like
.NET a bridge has been constructed to allow traditional
client-server applications to be migrated or rewritten for
web use. There are tremendous product groups available
for client-server apps and ICS has been involved either as
team members or turn-key applications using nearly all of
the available development tools on the market today.
Client-server development is certainly a strength of ICS.
Web-based
:
Architects
Development Specialists
Business Analysts
Product Development Specialists
Programmer/Analysts
Programmers
Web-based application
developers are probably the most sought after talent in
today's market. Web development involves many facets
of the web including application development (those used for
commerce or interaction with a server database), web design
(the graphic user interface that the end-user sees) and
legacy interaction (using legacy databases from mainframes).
ICS web developers are second
to none. Our staff of developers have been involved in
each aspect of web design and development in over 100
successful applications, many from the ground up. With
the advent of new products that are coming on the market,
ICS provides additional training and products to our staff
for their use and evaluation.
